Recruitment
The Alpha Psi Chapter of Zeta Tau Alpha is a great group of girls with a variety of talents. We hope that you'll consider joining our family after going through formal recruitment in August or informal recruitment taking place throughout the year. If you are interested in joining Zeta and cannot go through "formal" recruitment, please contact the current Recruitment Chair listed in the officers section.
Here is a preview of what you have to look forward to during Formal Recruitment in August:
Open House Day - (Monday and Tuesday): Potential Members visit each of the 14 chapters on campus and are able to meet women in those chapters.
Skit Day - (Wednesday): Potential Members will visit 9 chapters on this day. Potential Members get to see the fun side of the girls in the chapter with a skit and dance put on by the chapter members. Today at Zeta Tau Alpha, Potential Members will also go on a house tour.
Philanthropy Day - (Thursday):Potential Members will visit 5 chapters on this day. Potential Members will learn about each the Philanthropy of each chapter, and what event they put on to raise money to support it. Zeta's National philanthropy is Breast Cancer Education and Awareness. Today at Zeta Tau Alpha, you will learn about the many events that the Zetas at Mizzou and Zetas all over the United States do to support our National philanthropy.
Preference Day - (Friday): Potential Members will visit 3 chapters on this day. Today at Zeta Tau Alpha, Potential Members will be able to see in more depth the sisterhood that the current members share and what Zeta Tau Alpha means to each.
Bid Day - (Saturday):Potential Members will get a bid to one of the chapters they visited during the week, and afterward celebrate with the rest of their new Pledge Class. At this time, girls going through recruitment are no longer Potential Members, they are New Members to the chapter they were given a bid.
